The Work Brighter Clubhouse

Gentle accountability for disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill humans who want to make sustainable progress on their goals without guilt, pressure, or burnout

Hey you, how much of this sounds familiar?

  • Traditional productivity advice doesn't work with your brain or body. It just makes you feel worse about yourself.

  • You have goals that matter to you, but struggle to make progress when your capacity is unpredictable. And you refuse to force yourself to "just push through."

  • You start projects with enthusiasm and optimism, then completely lose steam when brain fog, fatigue, or overwhelm kicks in.

  • You don't know what to prioritize when you're barely keeping up with everything.

  • You feel like you're always behind on work, chores, and your personal goals, no matter how hard you try or how well you plan.

  • You've tried "getting accountability" before, but it felt more like judgment than support, so you gave up on it.

  • You know you need external support to follow through, but you're worried it will turn into more pressure and shame.

The problem isn't you.

It's that Hustle Culture has created unrealistic expectations, ableist norms, and neurotypical assumptions about productivity.

That includes what we've been taught accountability looks like…pressure, judgment, and forcing yourself to push through no matter what.

Gentle accountability works differently.

It helps you make real progress by working with your brain and body, not against them.

And it’s what the Clubhouse is here for.

The Work Brighter Clubhouse gives you the tools, structure, and community you need to actually follow through on your goals without guilt, pressure, or burnout.

  • Resource library full of templates, workbooks, and workshops to help you build sustainable systems (like reset templates, goal-setting tools, and our gamified habit tracker)

  • Special events throughout the year, including quarterly book clubs, reset challenges, and virtual socials

  • A community that celebrates all progress, even the babiest of steps

Meet Your Clubhouse Host

Hi, I’m Brittany (she/they). I’m the founder of Work Brighter Media and the host of the Clubhouse.

I’m a former productivity expert who learned the hard way how incompatible Hustle Culture is with disabilities, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.

After a few years of working at a fast-paced tech startup, taking weekly dance classes, and running 3 different side hustles, the time between my burnouts and flare-ups kept getting shorter and shorter, until life was just one long, perpetual burnout/flare-up combo.

That forced me to figure out what productivity looked like without Hustle Culture, and with the supports I needed for my neurodivergence and chronic illness.

It turns out, accountability is a huge part of that.

But not the kind most people think of, the kind based in pressure, judgement, and punishment. Accountability based in encouragement and compassion.

So that’s what the Clubhouse is here to provide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of person is this for?

Anyone who struggles with executive functioning, focus, burnout, and balance. That includes people with ADHD, autism, OCD, depression, EDS, CFS, long COVID, or countless other conditions.

If the information on this page resonated with you, I'm confident you'll fit right in here.

Do I need an official diagnosis to join?

Absolutely not! We recognize and respect that there are tons of barriers and challenges in receiving an official diagnosis, as well as that not everyone wants one.

No one knows your body and brain better than you, and if the information on this page resonated with you, you’re the “right kind of person” for the Clubhouse, regardless of what a diagnosis may say.

How do I participate in the community?

Everything in the community is centralized in one convenient place on a platform called Circle. It’s like our own private social network with no ads, no algorithms, and no angry trolls.

You’ll be able to access it from desktop or mobile, and customize notifications to suit which areas of the Clubhouse you’re most interested in.

The one sort-of-exception is our live calls, which are hosted on Butter. But links to join those calls are still found in Circle. Like I said, everything you need can be found in one convenient place.

What kind of things are inside the resource library?

The resource library is filled with different tools like cheat sheets, templates, workbooks, and on-demand workshops covering topics like spoon-friendly productivity, planning, self-care, and more.

As soon as you join, you'll get access to over 50 different resources, including:

  • A braindump trigger list to help with executive dysfunction and overwhelm
  • A gamified habit tracker to build sustainable habits
  • Gentle goal-setting tools to set realistic goals you can actually stick to
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reset templates and checklists for building check-in rituals
  • Real ideal day, week, and routine workbooks to design schedules that work with your brain and body

Plus we add at least one new resource every month.

How long do I need to commit for?

The Clubhouse is a month-to-month membership you can cancel anytime, no commitment necessary.

However, if you’d like a bit of a discount, you can pre-pay per quarter instead.

What if I'm too overwhelmed to participate regularly?

That's totally fine and expected. The Clubhouse is designed for people with unpredictable capacity. You can engage as much or as little as works for you at any given time. Some members are in the threads daily, others check in weekly or just show up for live events.

There's no pressure to be "on" all the time, the structure is here when you need it.

How much time do I need to dedicate to this?

As much or as little as works for you. Some members spend 10-15 minutes a day in the accountability threads. Others just join weekly calls. There's no minimum time requirement...you get to decide what level of engagement fits your life and capacity right now.

How much personal help/attention do we get from you?

I'm active in the community and answer questions in public feeds. I'm also happy to chat via DM occasionally. This is peer support, not individual coaching or consulting—the community and accountability structure are what help you make progress.

When do live events happen?

We rotate times quarterly based on the community’s availability, to reach as many time zones as possible. For the rest of 2025, that will be 11am PT.

And as the community grows, we’re excited to add better support for additional time zones.

What if I miss a live event?

Educational calls like reset sessions and workshops are recorded and available in the resource library with captions and transcripts.

Body doubling and reset sessions aren't recorded, since they're working sessions where people are focused on their own work and frankly, that would be boring for you to watch!

How accessible is the community?

All educational events have live automated captioning, and recorded replays will have captions and transcripts. Additionally, any library resources are adapted to as many formats and tools as possible, starting with text.

If you have any other questions about accessibility, you can email us at hey@workbrighter.co.

What if I have another question not listed here?

Feel free to reach out to us and ask at hey@workbrighter.co.
